Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using Closet Cleanout you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms please do not use the platform.

What Closet Cleanout Is

Closet Cleanout is a platform that allows individuals to host and participate in live online closet sales. We provide the technology to list items, manage inventory, and process orders. We are not a party to any transaction between buyers and sellers.

Accounts

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and password. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. You must provide accurate and complete information when creating your account.

Seller Responsibilities

As a seller you agree to accurately describe and photograph all items you list for sale. You agree to only list items you own and have the right to sell. You agree to honor all completed sales and fulfill orders in a timely manner. You are responsible for collecting payment from buyers and resolving any payment disputes. Closet Cleanout does not guarantee payment from buyers.

Buyer Responsibilities

As a buyer you agree to complete payment promptly after submitting an order. You agree that all sales are final unless otherwise agreed upon with the seller. You are responsible for resolving any disputes directly with the seller. Closet Cleanout does not process refunds or mediate disputes between buyers and sellers.

Payments

All payments are made directly between buyers and sellers through third-party payment platforms including Venmo, PayPal, and Cash App. Closet Cleanout does not process, hold, or transfer any funds. We are not responsible for payment failures, errors, or disputes. Use of third-party payment platforms is subject to their respective terms of service.

Prohibited Conduct

You may not use Closet Cleanout to sell counterfeit, stolen, or illegal items. You may not use the platform to harass, defraud, or harm other users. You may not attempt to circumvent or manipulate the platform's features. You may not create multiple accounts to gain an unfair advantage in sales or waitlists. Violation of these rules may result in immediate account termination.

Intellectual Property

All content on Closet Cleanout including the name, logo, design, and written content is owned by Closet Cleanout and protected by copyright law. You may not reproduce, distribute, or use our content without written permission. By uploading photos to the platform you grant Closet Cleanout a limited license to display those photos in connection with your sale.

Disclaimer of Warranties

Closet Cleanout is provided as-is without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the platform will be available at all times or free from errors. We are not responsible for any loss of data, revenue, or items resulting from use of the platform.

Limitation of Liability

Closet Cleanout shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform. Our total liability to you for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid to use the platform in the past 12 months.

Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate any account that violates these terms or that we determine in our sole discretion to be harmful to other users or the platform. You may delete your account at any time by contacting support@closetcleanoutsale.com.

Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify users of significant changes by posting a notice on our platform. Your continued use of Closet Cleanout after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Tennessee. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be resolved in the courts of Tennessee.
